Income Statement Expanded

The Expanded Income Statement option shows the profitability of a company for a specified accounting period.

The system uses custom financial statement income formats to generate the report; the formats are described in Using Financial Statement Formatting. You will have to assign format codes to this report the first time you use it.

Income Statement Fields

Cost Center	The cost center(s) to view in the expanded income statement.
Period	The accounting period for the expanded income statement.
Collapse Cost Centers	Select Y (Y=yes), to have the cost center column of the income statement appear blank and have cost centers totaled for each account listed on the income statement. If the field is set to N (N=no), all cost centers will print in detail.

Note: The difference between the expanded income statement and the normal income statement is that the expanded report provides more fields than the standard report. In addition, you do not get the option of summing the report by cost centers.
